Swat Safari · Last updated: 2026-10-10
Short version: the app does not collect, send or share any personal information. If you switch on the optional Cat Snapshots feature, the front camera takes occasional photos while you play. Those photos stay on your iPad.
What the app stores
Everything is stored on your device only, in the app's own storage:
- your pet's name, age group and chosen avatar picture (typed or picked by you, never sent anywhere)
- sound and music volume, your high scores, how much free play time you've used today, and whether Unlock All has been purchased
- your Cat Snapshots settings, and the snapshot photos themselves if you turn the feature on (see below)
Camera and Cat Snapshots (optional, part of Unlock All)
- Cat Snapshots is off by default. It only works after you buy Unlock All and switch it on in Options, and the app explains it before asking.
- When it is on, the app uses the front camera to take an occasional photo of your cat while you play (about one every few minutes, a handful per game). The camera is switched on only for each photo. The app makes no sound and shows nothing when it takes one.
- The photos are saved in the app's private storage on your iPad. They are never uploaded or shared, and we cannot see them.
- You can view and delete them in the Snapshots screen, delete them all in Options, or turn the feature off at any time. Deleting the app deletes them too.
- iPadOS asks for your permission before the app can use the camera. You can change this at any time in the iPad's Settings.
Photos library (optional)
If you tap "Save to Photos" on a snapshot, or switch on "Save to Photos" in Options, the app adds that picture to your Photos library. It can only add pictures; it cannot see, read or change anything else in your Photos. iPadOS asks for your permission first.
What the app does not do
- no accounts or sign-in
- no advertising, analytics or tracking, and no third-party SDKs
- no network requests of its own
- no microphone, location or contacts access
- no sending of photos, scores or any other data anywhere
Purchases
Unlock All is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we never see your payment details.
Children
Swat Safari is a game for cats, played with their owners, and is not directed at children. Purchases and links out of the app are behind a "grown-up" check. We collect no data from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and all of its data, including any snapshots, is removed from your device. Photos you saved to your Photos library are yours and stay there until you delete them.
